I do not beleive that it is an oversight that the PS3 is 'reluctant' to transmit a 720p signal for BD, the best performance will result from a 1080i or p signal going to a TV. There should be very few if any TVs that only accept 720p as their input reolution. However, I don't want to remove the comment unilaterally, if it is aggreed then please do so. Thanks.... J
